About
Thiruvalluvar College of Education for women was established in 2005 by Thiruvalluvar Trust. It is located in a sprawling campus at Mallappuram village, near Elumalai, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District. It is easily accessible from Madurai. It is free from City pollution, with lush green surroundings. The college is recognised by NCTE and is affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, Chennai.
Thiruvalluvar College of Education for women has been accredited with "B" Grade by NAAC - 2011. The college was adorned by Annual Intake of 100 Students in the year 2005 - 2006 and additional intake of up to 200 students in the year 2008 - 2009. Now the Sanctioned strength for B.Ed is 200.
To our credits as a milestone, the college got affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University for the course of M.Ed Programme in the year 2008 - 2009 with annual intake of 25 students. Further it was enhanced by additional intake of up to 35 students in the year 2010 – 2011. Now the sanctioned strength for M.Ed is 50.
